Hays plc - Total Voting Rights Hays plc Voting Rights and Capital

In conformity with the Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, Hays plc would like to notify the market of the following:

As at close of business on 30 June 2008 Hays plc:

* had 1,464,096,566 issued ordinary shares of 1p each admitted to trading. Each ordinary share carries the right to one vote in relation to all circumstances at general meetings of Hays plc;

* held 86,640,977 ordinary shares in treasury. The voting rights of treasury shares are automatically suspended.

Accordingly, Hays had total voting rights of 1,377,455,589

.

The total voting rights figure (1,377,455,589) may be used by shareholders (and others with notification obligations) as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in Hays plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
