Further to the announcement by the Company on 13 May 2014, the board of SNR, the AIM quoted natural resources developer operating in South Africa, which indirectly owns 74% of Elitheni Coal (Pty) Limited ("Elitheni"), announces that the 15,000,000 Initial Subscription Shares and the 10,000,000 Mellon Shares commenced trading on AIM today ("Admission"). Following Admission the Company's issued share capital consists of 196,061,583 ordinary shares of 1p each. The Company does not hold any ordinary shares in treasury. Therefore the total number of ordinary shares in the Company with voting rights is 196,061,583.

The above figure may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

Further details will be announced on the issue and admission to trading of the Further Subscription Shares, the Beaufort Placing Shares and the settlement shares to be issued to LCB in due course. The announcement by the Company on 13 May 2014 incorrectly stated the anticipated admission dates of the Initial Beaufort Placing Shares and the Further Beaufort Placing Shares as 22 May 2014 and 6 June 2014. These dates should have been 28 May 2014 and 11 June 2014 respectively.

Following Admission the Board changes, further details of which were announced on 13 May 2014, have now taken effect.
