Voting rights and capital
Following the issue of all new ordinary shares in the capital of the Company in connection with the Rights Issue, Hammerson plc hereby notifies that, as at today's date, Hammerson plc's total issued ordinary share capital comprises 696,651,613 ordinary shares of 25 pence each with one voting right per share, of which 1,000,000 shares are held in treasury.
Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Hammerson plc is 695,651,613.
The above figure (695,651,613) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
A further voting rights and capital announcement will be released on 1 April 2009 in accordance with the requirements of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
