21 December 2006 FirstGroup plc Voting Rights and Capital
In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6 we would like to notify the market of the following:
FirstGroup plc's capital consists of 398,751,321 ordinary shares with voting rights. FirstGroup plc holds 4,349,140 of its ordinary shares in Treasury.
Therefore, the total number of voting rights in FirstGroup plc is 394,402,181.
The above figure (394,402,181) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, FirstGroup plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
