Enova Systems, Inc.13 December 2006 Tokyo R&D Supplies Enova Powered Bus to Japan TORRANCE, CA, December 13, 2006 - Enova Systems, (AMEX: ENA and AIM: ENV andENVS), an early stage production company in an emerging industry and a leadingdeveloper of proprietary electric, hybrid and fuel cell digital power managementsystems, is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Tokyo R&D to supplyan electric bus to the Hokuriku Electric Power Company in Japan. The bus willnow undergo testing and evaluation by the company in efforts to generate furthervolumes for this type of vehicle. Enova supplied Tokyo R&D with a 120kW Electric Drive System earlier this yearfor integration into the bus. Enova's electric drive system provides all thefunctionality one would find under the hood of an internal combustion enginepowered vehicle. The electric system consists of an enhanced induction motor andthe electronic controls that regulate the flow of electricity to and from thebatteries at various voltages and power to propel the vehicle. The 120kW system is an ideal choice for light trucks, delivery vans, andmid-sized buses using electric and series hybrid-electric propulsion. Thissystem can provide 1664NM of drive shaft torque when used with our gearreduction unit and operates on a DC input voltage that can range from 250 to425VDC.
