Three Fatalities at Karvina Mine
New World Resources Plc ('NWR' or the 'Company') regrets to announce three fatalities at the Karviná Mine of OKD, a.s. ('OKD'), its Czech mining subsidiary. On Friday, 14 November three workers died approximately 900 metres underground.
NWR expresses its deepest condolences to the families, relatives and friends of the deceased workers.
An investigative committee comprising members of the District Mining Authority in Ostrava, Karviná Mine management, OKD management, the OKD Trade Unions representatives, and the Police of the Czech Republic is now conducting an enquiry into the accident.
