Third franchise hotel in Amsterdam

easyHotel, the owner, developer, operator and franchisor of "super budget" branded hotels, is pleased to announce a further 96 rooms under development by its Benelux franchisee.

easyHotel Amsterdam-Zaandam will be located on the ninth to eleventh floors of the Saentower, 2 Ankersmidplein street, in the heart of Zaandam, next door to the railway station which is only two stops and eleven minutes from Amsterdam Central Station and Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. Construction is expected to start shortly and the hotel is anticipated to open in early 2017.

This will be the third easyHotel in the Amsterdam region. The second franchise hotel was announced in February 2016, with the announcement that the Group's Benelux franchisee had purchased a property on Arena Boulevard in Amsterdam to convert into a 131-room easyHotel, which is due to open by the end of 2016.

Additionally, the Group's Benelux franchisee is due to open easyHotel Brussels in October 2016, ahead of schedule. The 107 room hotel will be the first easyHotel in Belgium.

In total, the easyHotel development pipeline now consists of 1,810 rooms under development, 576 of which are owned and 1,234 are being developed by franchise partners.
