Scootrix receives first purchase orders from Tesco
ila successfully launched on QVC in Germany and further re-order from QVC in the USA
LiteBulb Group (AIM: LBB), the provider of innovative product solutions from identification through to retail distribution, announces that it has received initial purchase orders from major UK retailer Tesco for its Scootrix range of children's scooter accessories. In addition, the Company announces that its ila range of stylish personal safety products for women have successfully completed a first airing on online shopping channel QVC in Germany ("QVC Germany") and have received a re-order from QVC in the USA ("QVC USA").
Tesco purchase orders
LiteBulb Group received an initial purchase order from Tesco for a range of its Scootrix products for online sales at the end of 2012. The Company has more recently received a significantly larger purchase order from Tesco for a number of its Scootrix products which will be sold both in-store and online and are expected to be on the shelves by March of this year.
This expands the number of blue-chip retailers currently stocking Scootrix products and follows on from the order placed by Halfords, where Scootrix accessories have been available in stores nationwide since October 2012. The order also extends the existing relationship LiteBulb has already established with Tesco, with a number of the Company's product lines being stocked by the retailer, including its Shirtbox range of lunchboxes.
With over 3.5 million children aged between 3 and 10 in the UK owning a scooter LiteBulb is also seeing increasing interest from retailers for its Scootrix scooter accessories. As such, the Company is currently in discussions regarding Scootrix with a number of major UK retailers, as well as in multiple overseas markets.
ila launch and re-order
LiteBulb's ila DUSK personal alarm and ila door WEDGE alarm products have recently completed their first airings on QVC Germany, with stocks of the products having already fully sold out. As a result, QVC Germany has requested stock lists on other products within the ila range in order to capitalise on this initial success through further airings of ila products.
In addition, and due to higher than expected sales of the ila DUSK product line on QVC USA, LiteBulb Group has received a re-order within only two weeks of the previous airing. This follows on from a number of successful airings for the ila DUSK product line on QVC USA as detailed in the announcement released 21 December 2012.
Owing to this success, QVC USA plans further airings in 2013 and is in discussions with the Company regarding sales of three additional ila product lines including PEBBLE, WEDGE and HANDBAG HERO.
Further to the above, LiteBulb Group is also in discussions with three distributors in India regarding a timely introduction for the ila product range into the considerable Indian market.
Simon McGivern, LiteBulb Group CEO, commented, "Having only launched the Scootrix brand last year we are delighted to have received a substantial order from one of the UKs leading retailers. This is an excellent endorsement of the Scootrix product set and we are confident this deal will increase awareness of the Scootrix brand, accelerate product sales and further cement our relationship with Tesco.
"In addition, the success of our ila products with QVC in both Germany and the USA gives us great encouragement as we look to introduce the products into additional geographies. We look forward to providing further updates on the international expansion of the ila brand in the coming months."
