TT electronics PLC09 January 2006 TT electronics plc Next Generation Sensing Technology Achieves Milestone for TT electronics TT electronics is pleased to announce that it has won substantial new ordersfrom the automotive industry for its inductive "Autopad" sensors, taking totalorders gained to date for this new technology to over £100 million over the lifeof the programmes. TT electronics' patented Autopad technology has been developed at the group'scentre of sensor design and technology excellence in Cambridge. The range ofsensors, incorporating leading edge, inductive technology, has been wellreceived by the group's key automotive customers. Autopad technology has enabledTT electronics to win its first new business from German automakers for steeringsensors, as well as orders for pedal, chassis, and throttle applications on arange of European vehicles. We believe that there will be a progressive increase in the use of inductivetechnology due to the cost and manufacturing efficiencies it offers. New ordersfor Autopad technology gained through the group's German sensor businessesconfirm our confidence in this new technology.
