Tata Steel's Q3 FY'15 Key Production and Sales Figure
Jamshedpur, January 9, 2015: Tata Steel registered Hot Metal and Crude Steel production of 2.38 million tonnes (up by 2.8% y-o-y) and 2.29 million tonnes (up by 5.6% y-o-y) respectively for Q3 FY'15. Saleable Steel production was higher by 3.3% y-o-y (to 2.22 million tonnes), and Sales increased by 3.05% y-o-y to 2.13 million tonnes.

Major Highlights
· Pellet Plant has achieved best ever Q3 production of 1.03 million tonnes (Previous best 0.92 million tonnes in Q3 FY'14).
· Sinter Plant#1 has achieved best ever Q3 production of 0.381 million tonnes (Previous best 0.368 million tonnes in Q3 FY'12).
· Wire Rod Mill achieved its best ever Q3 production of 0.110 million tonnes (Previous best 0.109 million tonnes in Q3 FY'13).
· New Bar Mill achieved its best ever Q3 production of 0.229 million tonnes (Previous best 0.203 million tonnes in Q3 FY'13).
· CRM Saleable is best ever Q3 at 0.47 million tonnes (Prev. best 0.33 million tonnes in Q3 FY'14).
· CRM Bara production is best ever Q3 at 0.12 million tonnes (Prev. best 0.10 million tonnes in Q3 FY'14).
· Best-ever Q3 Automotive sales of 0.34 million tonnes (Previous best 0.28 million tonnes in Q3 FY'14).
Other Highlights
· Tata Steel Ltd is awarded the CII - ITC Sustainability Awards 2014 - "Business of the year" for Exemplary Policy, Practice and results. Tata Steel is the only company to have scored high enough to receive this award (also called the Sustainability trophy), since these awards were instituted in 2006.
