Capita Group PLC01 February 2007 Capita signs £243 million contract with Swindon Council to deliver local services in strategic partnership The Capita Group Plc ("Capita") announces that it has signed a contract withSwindon Borough Council to deliver a fifteen-year incremental strategicpartnership worth approximately £243 million. This follows the announcement, inOctober last year, that Capita had been selected as preferred supplier todeliver a ten-year partnership for approximately £140 million. Capita will deliver a wide range of services including customer services,business support for administration services, financial administration, HR &payroll, ICT, property (design and technical services) & facilities managementwith revenues and benefits from April 2008. The contract will commence today (1February 2007). The strategic partnership will involve the TUPE transfer of nearly 400 stafffrom the council to Capita.
