Bank of Scotland plc €60,000,000,000 covered bond programme (the Programme)

Capitalised terms used but not defined in this Announcement shall have the meanings given to them in the Prospectus dated 10 March 2010, as supplemented on 15 April 2010.

The swap confirmations in respect of the Covered Bond Swap Agreements relating to each of the following Series of Covered Bonds (Series 4, Series 5, Series 7, Series 16, Series 17, Series 18, Series 21, Series 22, Series 23 and Series 25) (the Swap Amendments) has, in each case, been amended to re-set the applicable exchange rate in order to bring them in line with current exchange rates. This is not expected to have any impact on the ratings of the Covered Bonds issued under this Programme.
