QinetiQ Group plc08 August 2006 QinetiQ signs £52.5M support package contract with MOD QinetiQ has today signed a contract with the Defence Procurement Agency worth upto £52.5M over the next three years securing continuation of work for theTyphoon IPT (Integrated Project Team). QinetiQ and its legacy organisations have been involved in the Typhoon projectfor nearly 20 years, but it is over the last five years that QinetiQ'sactivities have become focused under one integrated support contract. This newcontract continues much of the activity carried out hitherto, with theintroduction of some new tasks required by the customer. The pan-QinetiQ team provides several valuable services to the Typhoon IPTincluding the provision of independent Release to Service (RTS) safetyrecommendations, the technical review of Verification, Qualification andCertification (VQ&C) evidence, programme risk reduction and recovery supportactivities, future capability/decision support and the operation of strategicfacilities for the MOD. Other support includes qualification testing of aircrewequipment, modelling and simulation, flight trials and software analysis.
