Empyrean Energy PLC27 June 2007 Empyrean Energy PLC ("Empyrean" or the "Company"; Ticker: (EME)) Sugarloaf Prospect, ("Sugarloaf") Texas USA ------------------------------------------- Empyrean provides the following update on testing of the Sugarloaf-1 well asprovided by the operator. As recently reported by other listed partners participating in this well, thecommencement of the fracture stimulation and testing program of the Cretaceouscarbonate zone requires remedial cementation of the well casing across the zonesof interest prior to testing. This process which involves serial perforation ofthe casing and squeezing cement is expected to take several weeks to complete. The latest indication from the Operator is that fracture stimulation and flowtesting of the first of the three zones of possible gas pay is now expected tocommence during the first half of August.
