RapidCloud signs strategic partnership with Celcom
RapidCloud International plc (AIM: RCI), the computing services, web hosting and web solutions provider based in Southeast Asia, is pleased to announce that, via its wholly owned subsidiary Emerge Software Solutions (M) Sdn. Bhd., it has signed a strategic partnership with Celcom Axiata Berhad ("Celcom"), Malaysia's longest established mobile telecommunications provider with a customer base of over 14 million users, for an initial period of two years.
The partnership will allow Celcom to offer its SME customers a number of RapidCloud's solutions on a revenue share basis "white-labelled" as part of Celcom's own range of services. These will include email, web and mobile site building and e-commerce services.
Celcom is a recognised brand in Malaysia being the longest established Malaysian mobile provider. Given Celcom's considerable and wide-reaching customer base, as well as the strong brand recognition it enjoys within Malaysia, the partnership offers a significant opportunity to RapidCloud, accelerating the Company's growing presence within the Malaysian mobile web market.
Telecommunication companies play a central role in RapidCloud's growth strategy and the Company will look to seek similar partner channel opportunities going forward, which complement its strong direct sales model.
Raymond Chee, Managing Director of RapidCloud, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Celcom, which we regard as one of the market leaders in the Malaysian telecom industry. We are confident that the partnership will accelerate our penetration of the Malaysian mobile market. Furthermore, Celcom's selection of RapidCloud's solutions is a strong endorsement of the quality of our services and acts as a solid foundation from which to seek similar channel opportunities in line with our strategy."
