Morrison(Wm.)Supermarkets PLC11 August 2005 Morrison (Wm.)Supermarkets PLC11 August 2005 MORRISONS SELLS FIVE SAFEWAY STORES TO WAITROSE Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC announces that it has exchanged contracts withWaitrose to sell five Safeway stores. The stores are located in East Grinstead, Durham, Lewes, Wilmslow and St.Katherine's Dock, London. The gross assets as at 30 January 2005 attributable to the five stores to besold was £ 30.6 million. The contract is only conditional on the approval ofthe Office of Fair Trading (OFT). The stores will transfer to Waitrose on completion, with all staff alsotransferring to the new owner.
