Cape PLC02 November 2005 Cape PLC ("Cape", the "Company" or the "Group") The Board of Cape PLC regrets to announce that Paul Ainley, the Group ManagingDirector, was last night involved in a serious road traffic accident. Whilst thefull extent of Paul's injuries is not yet known, we anticipate that he may beabsent from the business for some time. Accordingly, the Company's management team will, for the time being, dividePaul's responsibilities between them. In the short term, the Finance Director,Mike Reynolds, will become acting Managing Director and the Chairman, Martin May(who until recently was the Group's Chief Executive), will commit additionaltime to the business. The Board, in Paul's absence, is confident that it has the strength in depth tomanage his absence and to continue running and growing the business successfully. In the meantime, our thoughts are with him, his wife, Beverly andall his family.
