Stephen Blundell named Chief Operating Officer of eServGlobal

eServGlobal (AIM: ESG & ASX: ESV), the provider of end-to-end mobile financial services to emerging markets, is pleased to announce that Stephen Blundell has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer of eServGlobal.

Mr Blundell has served as Chief Financial Officer of the Company since 2009 and will now step down from that role. Mr Blundell will be responsible for eServGlobal's day-to-day operations. He will oversee end-to-end revenue delivery, working closely with the teams under him to streamline every step of the product development, sales, delivery and revenue process.

In the role of COO, he will report to Paolo Montessori, CEO. Mr Montessori will continue to oversee the functions of Finance, HR, Legal and Investor Relations whilst having more time to work with the Board on the development of the Group's strategy to achieve long-term, sustainable growth.

This is an important step in the Company's development as it focuses now on the transformation of its core business following the successful creation of the HomeSend joint venture. Mr Blundell will remain an Executive Director of the Company and as one of eServGlobal's Directors on the Board of HomeSend.

A highly experienced interim VP Finance, Andy Duffen, has been appointed and a formal process has been started to recruit Mr. Blundell's successor as CFO. Mr Duffen holds a BA in Accountancy, is a qualified ACA and has extensive experience in senior finance roles, notably in the Technology space, most recently with QLIK and Commvault Systems.
