Dublin, London, 06 March, 2009: Smurfit Kappa Group plc ('SKG') confirms that the Venezuelan authorities have taken over approximately 1,500 hectares of forestry land with a value of approximately €500,000. Our Venezuelan management are in discussions with the local authorities.
