The Board of World Trade Systems plc refers to an earlier announcement that application was being made to the United Kingdom Listing Authority ("UKLA") to lift the current suspension of trading in its shares. After consultation with the UKLA The Board now announces that the UKLA have decided that the suspension will remain in force until the Board can demonstrate, compliance with Listing Rule 9.2.2A which refers to Listing Rule 6.1.4R(3) requiring a listed Company to carry out an independent business as its main activity.
The UKLA remains open to an ongoing dialogue with the Company and, on this basis, the Board continues to actively seek a suitable independent business and is taking further advice in this matter.
A further announcement will be made as and when appropriate
