Carbo PLC29 March 2005 Carbo plc ("the Company") The Board of the Company announces that it has, by reason of its financialposition, resolved to appoint Ernst & Young as administrator to deal with itsaffairs. In addition, the principal UK subsidiaries have also resolved to appointadministrators to provide protection for their respective assets. These actionsin the UK do not affect the rest of the Group's operations in Germany, Italy andelsewhere. These businesses will continue to trade as normal.
