Statement re Press Comment
As previously announced, Premier is reviewing a range of options to accelerate the reduction of Group debt in order to establish a more appropriate long-term capital structure. Premier has made no decisions regarding the size or structure of the options, but will give full consideration to the rights of its existing shareholders in any decision.
Premier confirms that, as part of this review, it has held preliminary discussions with a number of its investors and certain other parties regarding a possible investment in Premier. These discussions remain at an early stage.
Premier is scheduled to provide an update on trading for 2008 on 13 January 2009.
