Severn Trent Plc announces today that Bob Davies has been appointed Chairman ofBiffa Plc in preparation for the demerger of the Biffa waste managementbusiness in the UK by the end of the year.Mr Davies, aged 57, recently stood down from Arriva plc after more than sevenyears as Chief Executive of the transport services group. He is a non-executivedirector of British Energy Group plc and Barratt Development PLC.
