Statement re: easyGroup Holdings Ltd
Easydate plc (AIM: EZD), the internet-based dating operator, notes the statement made this morning by easyGroup Holdings Ltd and would like to clarify its position.
Easydate is the company's name and the business has used this name in good faith for over five years without intervention or objection from any party, including easyGroup. Easydate plc has worked hard to build its own distinctive brand and reputation and also that of its consumer facing websites. In these circumstances, Easydate does not believe there is any opportunity for consumer confusion. Easydate operates numerous online dating sites, which have their own distinctive brands within the market place. These sites are listed below:

Following consultation with the Company's lawyers, Easydate believes that there is no unfair advantage of using Easydate as the Company name. Easydate has offered a without prejudice conversation to try and resolve the matter to the mutual benefit of both companies and still awaits a reply. Easydate will update the market as appropriate.
