Development Securities PLC29 November 2005 Update on planning applications at Broughton 29th November 2005 Development Securities PLC announces today that, at its request, the jointplanning application for the extension to the Broughton Retail Park will not bepresented to the 30th November Planning Committee of Flintshire County Council. The planning application will not be presented at this meeting as DevelopmentSecurities is currently working with the local authority to optimise access tothe site. One option under discussion involves a direct connection to the nearbyA55 trunk road. It is anticipated that the Development Securities' application for residentialplanning consent on its adjoining 27-acre site will also be held back frompresentation to the Planning Committee until the remaining highway issue isresolved. Michael Marx, Executive Deputy Chairman, Development Securities, said, "We anticipate resolution of the extension to the Retail Park at Broughton inthe first quarter of 2006."
