Aberdeen City Council sets 2019/20 budget

Aberdeen City Council yesterday (5 March 2019) held its 2019/20 budget meeting and agreed recommendations in relation to:

· General Fund Revenue and Capital Investment Programme;

· Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and Capital Investment Programme;

· Common Good Fund.

A balanced budget has been set, taking into account the requirement for savings, the need to protect services and the requirement to meet Scottish Government funding conditions. The Council is governed by the Local Government Finance Act 1992 and projected expenditure must be matched by income.
