Resignation of company secretary

The Board of the Company (the "Board") announces that Allen Pawlyn has resigned as Atlantic's company secretary with immediate effect.

Mr Pawlyn's resignation follows his conviction on 13 May 2015 at Harrow Crown Court for the offence of theft. The offence was committed at a company unconnected to Atlantic and prior to Mr Pawlyn's appointment as Atlantic's company secretary. 

The Board is confident that the Company's financial systems and procedures have remained robust. Mr Pawlyn has never been in a position to solely authorise bank payments on behalf of the Company and a review of bank payments has identified no inappropriate payments.

The Company operates the Stockton coal mine in Pennsylvania where it employs a separate US financial controller.
