Spudding of UTS-13 appraisal well in Uytas Field

Max Petroleum Plc, an oil and gas exploration and production company focused on Kazakhstan, is pleased to announce that it has commenced drilling the UTS-13 appraisal well in the Uytas Field on Block A. The well will be drilled to a total vertical depth of approximately 200 metres targeting Cretaceous reservoirs using a newly acquired mobile truck mounted rig from Zhanros. This is the first of 10 remaining wells to be drilled to depths of between 200 and 450 metres as part of the initial appraisal programme for the field.
