Spirent Communications (NYSE:SPM)(LSE:SPT), the leading companyfor satellite navigation test equipment, has been selected by DLR(German Aerospace Centre) for delivery of advanced GPS(GlobalPositioning System)/Galileo test systems. DLR will be using Spirentsolutions in the context of the EU & FP6 funded project "Airborne Newand Advanced Satellite Techniques and Technologies in a SystemIntegrated Approach" (ANASTASIA). £ The navigation aspects of the ANASTASIA project focus onperformance evaluations in a multi-constellation, multi-frequencycomplex satellite signal environment. The GPS/Galileo test systemsprovided by Spirent will be integrated with digital processingcomponents provided by DLR. The resulting wavefront simulators will becapable of testing multiple-element, phased-array reception antennasthat form part of DLR's research work. A paper summarising the currentstatus and next steps of the development will be presented at the IONGNSS2006 conference, Fort Worth, Tx, 27-29 September 2006.
