Spirent Communications (LSE: SPT) a global provider of performanceanalysis and service management solutions, and Rohde & Schwarz, aleading supplier in the field of test and measurement, today announcea cooperative agreement designed to help MediaFLO device manufacturersaccelerate their development and testing cycles. £ MediaFLO is based on FLO(TM) technology, a globally recognized airinterface standard that is supported by the FLO Forum and more than80+ industry members. It is designed to increase wireless networkcapacity and coverage and to reduce multimedia delivery costs.MediaFLO testing is partitioned into three distinct areas. The twocompanies have agreed that Spirent will provide Minimum Performance(FLO I) solutions, while R&S will provide the Services and Features(FLO II) and Interoperability (FLO III) solutions. For FLO IIItesting, Rohde & Schwarz will add Spirent's C2K-ATS line of systems totheir R&S TU8980 system and software automation. The combination ofexisting solutions and the leveraging of each company's subject matterexpertise will allow Spirent and Rohde & Schwarz to deliver testsolutions in a more timely fashion.
