In response to market demand for network equipment that deliverssecure high bandwidth triple play services, Spirent Communications plc(LSE:SPT), a global provider of performance analysis and servicemanagement solutions, today announced the availability of its HighPerformance CPU Module on Spirent TestCenter. This new module enablestest engineers to validate performance for their network systems underintense load and in high traffic environments, be it unencrypted orencrypted traffic. £ With the Spirent TestCenter and the High Performance CPU Module, network manufacturers and service providers are able to generate andtest high bandwidth voice, video and data intermixed at high rates, using a single test system. This affords them significant cost andoperational efficiencies with the need for fewer testing appliancesoccupying a smaller footprint. Furthermore, the solution addresses thecurrent lack of high throughput security testing. The module offersvirtually unlimited scalability and is capable of generating more than5 Gigabits per second (Gbps) of stateful traffic and more than 150,000Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connections per second on a singlepair of cards. £ "Spirent continues to push the envelope in delivering testingsolutions that enable our customers to validate Juniper'shigh-performance network infrastructure," said Michael Frendo, SeniorVice President, High End Security Systems business unit at JuniperNetworks. "Spirent TestCenter meets our requirements to replicatereal-world triple play traffic scenarios and generate more than 50Gbpsof traffic to effectively test our high-end security solutions." £ "We are pushing new levels of density and scalability with thislatest release of Spirent TestCenter," said Rob Piconi, chiefoperating officer at Spirent Communications. "With 50 percent gain inperformance, we continue to offer unmatched levels of test efficiencyand capital expense reductions by eliminating multiple box deploymentsand inefficient correlation of multiple data and result readouts." £ Spirent's latest release of Spirent TestCenter also addresses themarket demand for testing throughput of encrypted secure content.Capable of generating over 1.5 Gbps of bulk SSL encryption from a pairof single cards, Spirent TestCenter is by far the leading solutionavailable. No other single solution is capable of generating both in asingle deployed application. £ About Spirent Communications plc £ Spirent Communications plc is a leading communications technologycompany focused on delivering innovative systems and services to meetthe needs of customers worldwide.
