Mwana Africa PLC27 January 2006 Mwana Africa plc (the "Company") Speculation regarding expansion of Nickel Mine at Hunters Road London, 27th January 2006 - The Company wishes to correct the recent speculationin the media that it has had talks with investors over a new $90m nickel mineclose to the Hunters Road deposit in Zimbabwe, owned by Bindura NickelCorporation in which the Company is a 52.87% shareholder. The Company canconfirm it is currently continuing its pre-feasibility study at Hunters Roadwhich could lead to the development of an additional mine to provide a furthersource of nickel ore for its smelter and refinery on site.
