Moscow, Russia - December 30, 2009 - Sistema (the "Group") (LSE:SSA), the largest diversified public financial corporation in Russia and the CIS, which invests in and is a major shareholder of companies operating in different industries, today announced that it has increased its ownership in Sistema-Hals to 27.6% of the issued share capital through the acquisition of an additional 8.15% stake from the Sistema-Hals Group. The transaction has been made as part of the restructuring of Sistema-Hals Group's debt to Sistema.
