Singapore Exchange Delisting

Aberdeen Asset Management PLC23 February 2006 ABERDEEN ASSET MANAGEMENT PLC The Directors of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC (the "Company") today announcethat they have applied to the Singapore Exchange to cancel the secondary listingof its shares on the Official List of SGX-ST, with effect from Friday 10 March2006. The Company has concluded that as there is no trading in the Company's sharesthrough the Singapore Exchange it is uneconomical to retain this secondarylisting. Delisting will not affect shareholders and the Company's primarylisting on the London Stock Exchange will be unaffected. The Singapore Exchange has confirmed that it does not have any objection to theproposed delisting, but has stated that this is not an indication of the meritsof the delisting.
