SIMBERI GOLD MINE - PAPUA NEW GUINEA
No Impact From PNG Earthquake
Allied Gold Mining PLC's Simberi Gold Mine in Papua New Guinea has not been affected by the reported 7.1 magnitude earthquake that recently struck the area. Operations are continuing unabated.
The quake struck 89km (55 miles) from the city of Lae, at a depth of 121km and there are no current reports of serious damage or tsunami warnings being issued.
