Signing of licence agreement

3DM Worldwide PLC03 January 2007 3DM Worldwide PLC 3DM Worldwide plc signs licence agreement 3DM Worldwide plc ("3DM"), holder of the intellectual property rights for thePowder Impression Moulding ("PIM") process, has signed a technology transferlicence with RJ Plastics Ltd. The agreement gives RJ Plastics the right tomanufacture construction, modular housing and material handling products on upto five PIM production lines in the Midlands, the first of which is expected tobe commissioned before the end of 2007. RJ Plastics is a newly formed company specifically created to exploit the PIMtechnology. The founders of the company have a strong association with theSalvation Army and has been working closely with the Sandwell MetropolitanBorough Council on supply of waste plastic for use in the PIM process, as wellas potential products. In consideration for the licence, 3DM will receive £150,000 in staged payments,with the first payment due before the commencement of commissioning and finalpayment triggered by production from the first line. The agreement alsoprovides for royalty payments based on the volume of production. Richard Campbell, Director of RJ Plastics said: "We have been in discussions with 3DM for some time now. We see significantbenefits in using the PIM process not only to utilise waste plastic materials,which would have been destined for land fill, but also for the significantcompetitive advantages we can gain on a range of products. The creation of amanufacturing facility will also generate new employment in the area. We arealso in advanced discussions in securing supplies of waste plastics from withinthe area. This is an exciting opportunity for us and we are greatly lookingforward to getting into production." Niall MacKay, Chief Executive of 3DM added: "This is a significant development in the deployment of the PIM process. Theboard expects to be in position to make further commercial announcements in thecoming weeks. In particular the Tanzanian project continues to advance, allbeitslower than anticipated, and further positive meetings have been held with theKenyan Finance Ministry.
