Shire was ranked 62nd in the index, which is beingrevealed during the World Economic Forum in Davos this week. The Global 100 Index is a global ranking by Canada-based media and investmentadvisory company, Corporate Knights, of the top sustainability performers andhas come to be recognised as the gold standard in corporate sustainabilityanalysis. The Global 100 Index is determined from public data using twelvequantitative sustainability indicators which include leadership diversity,employee compensation, tax paid, innovation capacity, and energy and water use,among others.
