African Minerals Limited (AIM: AMI), the mineral exploration company with significant interests in Sierra Leone, West Africa, announces that the Company received notification today from BlackRock, Inc. ("BlackRock"), that as of 15 October 2008, through its controlled undertaking BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited, BlackRock has an interest in 21,259,942 common shares of the Company, representing 11.33 per cent of the Company's total issued share capital.
