Old Mutual PLC24 March 2006 Old Mutual plc Share interests Old Mutual plc (the "Company") announces that, following the issue of123,077,299 shares in the Company on 23 March 2006 in connection with itsacquisition of Skandia, the following change in notifiable interests, for thepurposes of Part VI of the UK Companies Act 1985, has taken place in its currentissued ordinary share capital: • the holding of Legal & General Group Plc of 164,506,029 shares now represents less than 3% of the Company's current issued ordinary share capital. By a notification received on 23 March 2006, the Company was informed thatBarclays plc, through its direct and indirect subsidiaries, had interests in atotal of 169,448,369 shares in the Company, now representing 3.09% of theCompany's issued ordinary share capital.
