Close period share buyback programme

United Drug plc (United Drug), will be announcing its financial results for the twelve months ended 30 September 2011 on 16 November 2011.

The Company's close period commences on 3 October 2011 and United Drug has entered into an irrevocable non-discretionary agreement with Davy to continue the share buyback programme announced on 10 May 2011 during the close period commencing on 30 September 2011 and ending on 16 November 2011 (unless such programme is terminated earlier). Any purchases under the programme will be effected within certain pre-set parameters, the Listing Rules, the Market Abuse Directive and in accordance with United Drug's general authority granted by its shareholders at the last Annual General Meeting to repurchase shares.
