Further to the announcement by the Company on 19 December 2012 in relation to the Company's proposed share buy-back programme during a close period ("Buyback Programme"), Cupid announces that it has today commenced the Buyback Programme and purchased 135,000 of its ordinary shares of 2.5p each at a volume weighted average price paid per share of 193.8148p. The highest price paid per share was 194p and the lowest price paid per share was 193p. Cupid purchased these shares through Peel Hunt LLP. The number of shares purchased represented 0.16% of the voting rights attributable to the total ordinary shares in issue of 85,096,971 prior to such purchase. The purchased shares will be cancelled.
The total number of ordinary shares of 2.5p each in issue following this announcement is 84,961,971. Cupid holds no shares in treasury. Therefore the total number of voting rights in the Company following this announcement is therefore 84,961,971. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company, under the Disclosures and Transparency Rules.
