BTG PLC15 August 2005 BTG Licenses Fundamental Online Navigation Tracking Patents to Netflix London, UK, 15 August 2005: BTG plc (LSE: BGC) today announced it has reached afull and final settlement with Netflix Inc. in connection with a patentinfringement lawsuit filed by BTG in September 2004 against Netflix and otherorganisations. As a result of this settlement, BTG has dismissed its claimsagainst Netflix and granted Netflix a non-exclusive license to patents coveringtechnology for tracking the navigational path of a user through the World WideWeb. The suit against the other parties - Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com andOverstock.com - continues to be pursued. The financial terms of the settlementwith Netflix are undisclosed.
