Servelec Group PLC

("Servelec" or the "Group")

Servelec's Health & Social Care business appoints Alan Howarth as strategic advisor

Servelec, the UK-based technology group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Howarth as Senior Advisor to the Board of Servelec Health & Social Care, a division of Servelec Group PLC.

Alan has extensive senior executive experience in the Health & Social Care sectors gained with a range of national and international organisations from both the public and private sectors. He was one of the founding partners of the EY Management Consulting practice in the UK, and was Chairman of a major acute NHS Trust for nearly seven years. Alan has co-written several papers including the "Intelligent Board" for the NHS, he participates in several technology forums that discuss leading public and private concerns, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.

The appointment affirms Servelec's position as a leading player across the Health & Social Care markets and one which is positioned well to take advantage of further funding being made available to Trusts to upgrade their Patient Administration and Electronic Patient Records systems. The Group is also capitalising on opportunities in the Social Care market as local authorities continue their system refresh of case management software. Bolstered by acquisitions of the Synergy and Abacus suites of products in this space, the company is the first to market with a strong product portfolio aimed at delivering the 'Big Picture' across Health & Social Care.

On appointment, Alan Howarth commented; "I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with Servelec to help shape the company's further development and growth in the health and social care markets. I have been impressed by the company's ambitions and strong product portfolio and feel it is well-placed to continue to take a leading role in these markets."

Alan Stubbs, Chief Executive Officer of Servelec Group PLC remarked; "Alan's appointment underpins our focus on the Health & Social Care business going forward. Following a number of acquisitions made in recent years to build our portfolio in markets which we know are coming together, 2017 will be a year of building on the synergies that are common across the businesses to deliver efficiencies and align ourselves for the convergence of care provision."

Alan Howarth's role as Senior Advisor commences on 6th December 2016.
