(TSX: THT and AIM: TMG) ("Thistle") Thistle announces that following completion of its restructuring under theCompanies' Creditors Arrangement Act, the new board of Thistle has appointedGerrit Maritz Kennedy as Thistle's new Chief Executive Officer and AndreasJohanness Graetz as Thistle's new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Kennedy, aged 55, has over 20 years of hard rock mining experience in seniorpositions. For the past two years, he has been the Vice President and Head ofOperations at Goldfields' Kloof Gold Mine, one of the largest producing goldmines in South Africa. Prior to that, Mr. Kennedy was (amongst other positions)the General Manager of Samancor's Western Chrome Mines and Mine Manager of AngloAmerican's Western Deep Levels Limited. Mr. Graetz, aged 50, has since 1994 been involved in various senior financialand technical management positions for Placer Dome Inc. in North America, thePhilippines and South Africa. More recently Mr Graetz was the Chief FinancialOfficer of the South Deep operation in South Africa, a joint venture betweenPlacer Dome and Western Area Limited.
