Senior Executive Appointments

Scapa Group plc announces the appointments of two key personnel to drive the next stage of the Group's growth and development.

Ian Marchant joined Scapa on 1 February 2010 as Group Operations Director. Ian will oversee the strategy and activities of Scapa's operations worldwide. His focus will be to drive the efficiency and cost of our operations through standardisation of manufacturing process and consolidation of the supply chain.

Ian has over 15 years of experience in operations and supply chain at world leading companies. During the last 10 years, Ian held senior operational roles at various business units of General Electric. He was the Director of Operations for GE Security, Global Supply Chain Leader for GE Sensing and UK Plant Director for GE Lighting. Prior to GE, Ian worked at Avon Rubber PLC in senior executive positions.

Gene Kim joined Scapa on 22 February 2010 as Director of Asia. Gene will be responsible for the development and activities of Scapa's business in Asia. His focus will be to accelerate our growth and presence in Asia. Scapa believes that Asia is a significant growth opportunity for the Group and where it is, currently, under-represented.

Gene has significant experience in strategic and business development roles at world class organisations. Prior to Scapa, Gene was Director of Strategic Projects at Cisco Systems. His prior experience also includes Mercer Consulting, Arthur D Little and Samsung Electronics.

Commenting on the appointments, Heejae Chae, the Group Chief Executive said:-
