Andrew (62) is a former senior diplomat who served with the Foreign andCommonwealth Office between 1968 and 1999, serving in Saigon, Rome, East Berlin,Oslo and New York before ending his diplomatic career as Counsellor at the UK'sWashington Embassy for four years. Andrew specialised in UK-US relations,Russia and Eastern Europe. Since 1999 he has been Chairman of the ScottishNorth American Business Council and has acted as a senior business advisor to anumber of international companies and organisations, including ProudfootConsulting and Huntswood. Andrew has also continued to work as a consultant onglobal political and commercial risk and security issues. Andrew will report toNoel Philp, the Group's Chief Operating Officer.
