DQ Entertainment plc ("DQE") secures new
Animated children's TV series
DQE, the AIM listed Animation, Gaming and Entertainment Company is pleased to announce it will be producing the animation for the TV series based on the best selling children's novel Geronimo Stilton.
Atlantyca Entertainment is the licensor of the Geronimo Stilton brands and is responsible for its business development opportunities, including the books and the animated TV series due to be released internationally in Autumn 2009.
The animated children's TV series, Geronimo Stilton, which is based on the best selling book range of the same name, is being produced by Atlantyca Entertainment together with MoonScoop Productions, with a multi million Euro global production budget.
The adventures of Geronimo Stilton have entertained generations for years with over 14 million books sold in Italy alone and additional sales to approximately 175 countries.
The series will be available for the autumn 2009 broadcast season to be jointly distributed by Taffy Entertainment and Atlantyca worldwide, together with Italy's RAI and France's M6, the first major European broadcasters to acquire the new animated kids' series.
The first teaser of Atlantyca's new series was screened at the recently concluded MIPCOM in Cannes.
