Premier Farnell plcSEC DE-REGISTRATIONPremier Farnell plc announces that it has today filed a notification with theUS Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of termination of the registrationof its ordinary and preference shares under the US Securities Exchange Act of1934 (Exchange Act). On filing of the form, Premier Farnell's obligations tofile certain forms and reports with the SEC under the Exchange Act, includingforms 20-F and 6-K, were suspended. The Company does not therefore expect tofile a form 20-F for the year ended 30 January 2005. Termination of PremierFarnell's registration is expected to take effect on 29 September 2005.The Company intends to continue to announce its financial results on aquarterly basis, notwithstanding termination of its SEC registration.This de-registration follows the Company's announcement, on 9 December 2004, ofits intention to de-list voluntarily from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE),terminate its ADR programmes with the Bank of New York and take steps tode-register its ordinary and preference shares under the Exchange Act.
