Season four of Rookie Blue commissioned
Entertainment One Ltd., (ETO: LSE) the international entertainment group, is pleased to announce that Rookie Blue has been commissioned for a fourth season. Season three of the series is currently airing on ABC in the US and Global in Canada.
For the second summer in a row Rookie Blue is the number one drama on the major networks for adults aged 18-49 and has grown its audience compared to the previous season. The series has been sold to over 200 territories.
This commission follows a string of renewals and new commissions in the eOne television business, with the Group now having nine series on major US networks and over 500 channels broadcasting eOne content in 180 countries. In addition, to complement the strong TV production slate, the Group continues to acquire third party series internationally including the North American spin off of the hit UK television series, Primeval: New World, the third season of international hit The Walking Dead and big-budget espionage TV drama from multi-award winning UK production company Kudos Film & Television, Hunted.
Darren Throop, CEO of Entertainment One said:
"The commission continues to illustrate the strength of the eOne TV business. We have cemented our position as one of the leading independent studios in North America and have a strong pipeline for the year ahead."
