Seamus Keating to leave Logica with plans for the Benelux now in place
Seamus Keating will step down as a director after thirteen years with the Company to concentrate on other interests. His resignation from the Executive Committee and the Board took effect from yesterday evening.
Since taking on the leadership of the Benelux business at the end of 2010, Seamus has completed the steps to ensure the successful execution of the restructuring programme announced in December 2011. Based on the performance of the business in the first two months of the year and the plans we have in place, we continue to expect the Benelux to return to profitability for 2012.
Serge Dubrana, Chief of Operations, will take executive responsibility for the Benelux business in addition to his existing role with the support of the strengthened team now in place. The process is underway to recruit a local leader for our Dutch business which will be announced in due course.
Seamus joined Logica in 1999 when Logica had less than 9,000 people, compared to around 41,000 today. He served as Group CFO from 2002 until the end of 2010. He has played a key role in building the business to become a leading European player, completing and managing the integration of a number of major acquisitions.
Andy Green, CEO, said:
"Seamus has been a real team player through his career at Logica. He contributed significantly to the transformation of the business from 1999 to 2010 and agreed to lead the Benelux business through a challenging time over the last fifteen months. This required tremendous personal commitment, which is typical of Seamus' dedication to the company throughout his time with Logica. The Board joins me in thanking him and wishing him every success as he moves to this new stage of his career."
Seamus Keating added:
"Logica now has a strong team in place in the Benelux and I have learned a lot working with them. The turnaround plan for the business is now firmly in place and I have every confidence that this will position the company to succeed going forward."
This announcement is made pursuant to L.R.9.6.11.
